Telephone interpreting is quick and easy to use. It also works well in a wide variety of settings. Language Link UK’s telephone translation service allows clients to access an interpreter as easily as making a phone call.
When the person you wish to communicate with is physically located next to you, simply access our service and one of our high-quality, friendly and professional interpreters will translate your conversation for you over the phone.
If you want to communicate with one or more individuals over the phone, but do not speak their language, we will arrange a conference call and will translate the conversation for you.
Our telephone interpreting service
Our telephone interpreting service has been developed with our customers in mind. We offer two types:
We provide a robust, high quality, on-demand telephone interpreting service provided by professional, capable linguists. Our service is available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. You simply contact us and we will provide you with an interpreter, without delay.
This service is not appropriate for discussions that require professional level, in-depth, industry-specific, knowledge of a subject, such as detailed contract negotiation skills or both parties to have possession of background material such as case notes, contract details etc.
When the subject under discussion is specialised and of a more complex nature, we would recommend our ‘Expert Professional’ service.
Expert Professional Service
There will be times when you require telephone interpreting services from a linguist who has expert knowledge of a particular industry or profession. We can help by arranging a conference call with a highly skilled linguist who is a professional in their field.
Although our expert professional service is not an ‘on demand’ service, we will arrange a booking with your interpreter as soon as possible. Depending on the language and time zone, we can often make your booking for the same day that you called us.
To ensure that you receive the best possible service from your interpreter, please provide them with any documentation such as case notes, contracts, agendas, technical drawings, timetables etc that are relevant or that you plan to refer to during your discussion.
And, of course, if you are interested in telephone interpretation but are unsure which option is best for you simply contact us and one of our friendly, highly trained members of staff will be happy to advise you.
